New England Maple Syrup Cake

- 1 stick butter
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 c. maple syrup
- 1/2 c. milk
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 2/3 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. ginger
Cream butter and sugar. Beat in the eggs. Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and ginger. Add to the egg mixture along with the milk and maple syrup. Mix well. Pour batter into a 9" square pan and bake for 45 minutes in a 350 degree F. oven. |
