• 2 cans crescent rolls
• 2 granny smith apples
• 1 c. melted butter or margarine
• 2 c. sugar
• 12 oz. bottle of sprite
• cinnamon
• nutmeg

On a flat surface, roll out and separate crescent rolls into 16 triangles. Peel and core apples then cut each into eight wedges. Place one apple wedge in each triangle and wrap. Place seam side down in a 9" x 13" casserole dish sprayed with cooking spray. Combine melted butter with sugar and pour over wrapped apples in dish; then pour Sprite over wrapped apples. Sprinkle generously with cinnamon. Lightly sprinkle with nutmeg. Bake in 325 degrees oven for 45 minutes; turn oven off and bake 15 more minutes. Remove from oven, let hot dumplings cool until warm and serve.
